Ladies, it’s time to start planning your next trip. Women from all over the country, and ladies right here in New Orleans, do not want to miss the ultimate women’s weekend getaway, FestiGals. This October, grab your girls for a weekend of fun that includes everything from a chance to experience wine tastings to spending some time with New Orleans’ hot firefighters. FestiGals’ goal is to celebrate the wonderfulness of us women with a weekend filled of fun to give you and friends some “Me” time.
Start preparing for this unique festival scheduled for October 6th in the historic New Orleans French Quarter and headquartered at one of my favorite hotels, Hotel Monteleone. You will definitely catch me at this festival, even wearing a boa!
Food and Drinks
The weekend starts with Chocolate Whimsy, where we get a chance to enjoy a wine and chocolate tasting on a rooftop patio. Then you can channel your inner Sex and the City character and take a tour of New Orleans night spots trying different versions of one of my favorite cocktails during the Cosmo Crawl.
Fire and Ice
The preview party for the 2012 New Orleans Firefighters Calendar will make for a fun night of mingling, food and cocktails. Most importantly you get your calendar before everyone and can begin swooning over the firefighters you met at the party even before 2012 begins.
Stiletto Stroll
This wouldn’t be a New Orleans festival without a parade. Attendees will participate in their very own parade along with New Orleans all female brass band, The Pinettes, local marching groups, the handsome 610 Stompers and more.
