THE VOODOO EXPERIENCE PRESENTED BY STEPHEN REHAGE will once again host The Pablove Foundation on festival grounds, October 28-30, with many of the weekend’s most anticipated performers dropping by the Pablove tent to show their support for childhood cancer awareness and fundraising with acoustic performances and autograph signings. Founded by New Orleans native Jo Ann Thrailkill and her husband, Dangerbirds Records CEO Jeff Castelaz, The Pablove Foundation has strong ties to the New Orleans music scene, one of the first communities to step-up in support of Pablove.
“Jo Ann and Jeff’s commitment to The Pablove Foundation is inspiring and something we support because of my belief in the cause, and our friendship,” says Stephen Rehage, founder/producer VOODOO EXPERIENCE. “It’s a privilege to support something that is so near and dear to their hearts.”
The Pablove Foundation provides essential funding for childhood cancer research grants and educational symposiums. Pablove also creates programs like “Pablove Shutterbugs,” which pairs rock photographers such as Piper Ferguson and Chapman Baehler with young cancer patients to teach them the fundamentals of photography, making a marked difference in their lives as they fight this difficult battle.
“The Pablove Foundation is grateful to the Voodoo Festival and all the performers who donate their time and resources to pediatric cancer awareness and research,” says Jo Ann Thrailkill, Pablove Executive Director and Co-Founder. “Pablove has raised over $1.7 million in the past two years thanks to the incredible support we receive from the music industry. We could not do this without them.”
In addition to the festival, Pablove Foundation organizers will hold a benefit concert at One Eyed Jacks on Friday, October 28 at 9:00 p.m., with ticket proceeds to benefit the foundation.
