first cooperative grocery store to open in New Orleans. Our mission is to provide fresh fruits and vegetables
and a full-range of groceries to neighborhoods much in need of access to healthy food. We have more than
2,000 owner/members who’ve invested in the co-op to date and that number is growing. Anyone can invest,
but you don’t have to be an owner/member to shop here. All are welcome!
The NOFC is now open and we’re celebrating with a free party on Saturday Nov 12th. It’ll be a day full of local
vendors sampling wares, a free raffle with great prizes, kid’s activities and great local music straight out of the
neighborhood that defines us. The day kicks off at 10:30a with speakers and blessings and then will transition
into eight hours of good food, music and fun. This has been 9 years in the making; please join us to celebrate!
