We have a new person on the team named Matt! To introduce them all to you here goes a few of Matt’s favorite things about New Orleans!
Food

One of the best parts about being in New Orleans is all the amazing places to eat. I am a huge fan of Tru Burger on Oak Street and in my humble opinion I think they have the best burger in New Orleans. I love roast beef po-boys as well, and having been to almost all of the po-boy places in New Orleans I can say that my favorite is Mahoney’s. Of course there are still countless other great places to eat.
Biking
I ride my bike all over the uptown area of New Orleans. I stopped riding a bike a long time ago and recently got back into this past summer. Even though the streets can sometimes be filled with potholes, I think New Orleans is an interesting city to ride in. Whether it’s going to Winn-Dixie to buy some T-bones or just riding to class I love riding my bike.
Community
I enjoy the feeling of community that comes from living in New Orleans, as where I am from in Southern California the feeling is not the same. One of my greatest memories of being here is when entire city united after the Saints won the Superbowl. There is a unique culture in New Orleans that does not exist anywhere else I am so fortunate to have been able to come to school here and to be a part of it.
