Everything Positively New Orleans

Volunteers Needed: Tennessee Williams Literary Festival

Want a free panel pass ($75+ value) and a great opportunity to meet new people while attending New Orleans’ most famous literary festival?

Good, because we need volunteers!

Please consider signing up for a volunteer slot; your helping hand will be invaluable to us. We’ll need:

  • Ushers and ticket takers for the panels/special events
  • Assistants at our box office staff/information desk
  • Other positions include: guest registration, messengers, runners, concessions, and party assistants

Sign yourself up for a slot on our online sign-up form where you will “order” the time slot during which you will volunteer. Each shift is 4 to 5-hours, (special events and theatre presentations excluded). If there is an event you’d especially like to see, please DO NOT sign up to volunteer during that shift, as we cannot guarantee the venue where you will be assigned.

We especially need volunteers on Saturday, March 24 at 8 AM and Sunday, March 25 at 8AM. The perk of the early morning shift? You’ll get done sooner, and have the rest of the day to play!

A one-hour orientation/training (encouraged, but not mandatory) will be held two times before the Fest, on March 18 and 19, both at 4pm at the Hotel Monteleone lobby. Once you sign up, your shift is your responsibility. Check in 10 minutes before your shift begins at the Hotel Monteleone lobby.

Dress code: smart casual (no jeans, no sneakers)

Feel free to contact us if you have any questions. We look forward to working alongside you during the weekend of the Festival!
